Tryouts are open to players born 2016 – 2010. All players including those rostered on an MCS FC team last season must register for tryouts. Registering for tryouts will ensure you receive the most up to date information and prompt communications from us. We encourage players to attend as many sessions as possible so coaches get to know the players. The more sessions you participate in the better opportunity we’ll have to see you play.

Important Tryout Info

Upon registration, players will be added to a TeamSnap account specific to their corresponding tryout age group. Automated reminders will be sent before each tryout date. Following the tryouts, selected players will receive an invitation to join their respective team. Upon acceptance, they will transition from the tryout group TeamSnap to the team’s dedicated TeamSnap account. Players who are not selected will be notified and removed from the TeamSnap tryout group.

• Registration for Tryouts is mandatory and helps us communicate with attendees.
• Plan to arrive 15 minutes before each session begins.
• At the assigned time and date for your age group, check in to receive a player ID number.
• Wear a white tee shirt and appropriate training gear including shorts, cleats, and shin guards.
• Bring a water bottle.
• Shortly after the tryouts conclude, we will reach out with invitations directly to your email.

We understand that tryouts can be challenging for some players. However, we want to assure you that the tryout experience should not be a source of anxiety rather it’s an opportunity to play and show your willingness to give your best effort. Players play their best when they are relaxed and have fun so try not to be stressed about the tryout. Focus on enjoying the process and have a good time. There’s no need to be nervous! Remember that we are not just evaluating a player’s soccer skills and abilities but most importantly their character and coach-ability.

Birth Years

Teams are formed by birth year in accordance with US Club Soccer. Players may play on a team of an older age group but not on a team of a younger age group.
